dComms

Dear friends!

Today's realities are such that hostilities can disconnect internet providers from the global network. To provide backup communication channels, the Canadian decentralized communications project dComms was launched in Ukraine, and we take part in it.

The essence of the project is using communication tools that work in the local network, letting you stay in touch with friends and family when regular messengers are down.

What the project is, how to use it and which apps to install – see our server lviv2.dcomm.net.ua.

In short: you can communicate within the city's local network without the internet. For example, chat from a web browser at chat.lviv2.dcomm.net.ua by joining a public group or creating your own. You can also install an app on your smartphone (specify the server matrix.lviv2.dcomm.net.ua).

Since we are connected to the LVIV-IX exchange point, subscribers of its member providers can also reach the lviv2.dcomm.net.ua server and communicate in an emergency. Currently these providers are: Kopiyka, Komitex, Astra, Linkom, Network-Lviv, WENET, Telkom, Eksi.Net.

We recommend installing the necessary apps and registering in advance.
